01 / The story

Tomorrow reaches back.
Someone reaches first.

When British counter-terror officer Jamie Mercer receives a warning from the future, saving lives seems like the only possible response.

But the warning is only part of the truth. Working with intelligence specialist Sofia Varga, Jamie discovers JANUS: a system capable of sending warnings backwards through time. Together, they are drawn into a conspiracy that turns the instinct to rescue into a weapon.

Every intervention changes what comes next. Every message forces a choice. And knowing where a warning came from is not the same as knowing who to trust.

As emergency responses draw Europe’s governments closer together, intelligence and official orders become harder to trust. Every rescue risks serving a political agenda Jamie and Sofia can’t yet see.
