The story behind Bearigo Studios
Jack’s
back.
The reel never ends.
Neither does the imagination.
A return to the story of John George “Jack” Smart, who co-founded Astra Films in 1919 with Herbert Wilcox, his brother Charles Wilcox and Herbert Wright Thompson—and the cinema history that helped inspire Bearigo Studios.
Jack is the great-grandfather of Bearigo Studios co-founder Daniel Bearigo.
We believe stories deserve to be seen, heard and shared. This is an invitation into ours.
